About Modern RelicsThis is a place to put my experiments in photography and music. The name Modern Relics comes from the idea of taking something new and presenting it as something different and older.SightAll images (apart from Reflections) are taken on a Sony DSC-F707 and then processed in Adobe Photoshop. Originally I intended to heavily modify the images to illustrate fragments of a story of an alternate England but then I found that the material I was shooting was interesting in its own right and so I toned down the 'shopping. Nearly all the pictures were taken around the West End of Leicester as there is an abundance of fantastic red brick industrial buildings around the Grand Union Canal which passes through the area. The Airborne Relics were taken at the Midlands Air Museum just outside Coventry in Baginton.SoundI've an eclectic taste in music but I mostly enjoy writing ambient and uplifting electronic music. All music was written using Propellerhead's Reason and ReCycle apart from the 2003 tracks which were composed in FruityLoops. The tracks are all in mp3 format. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google").
